It’s spring, but it’s still snowing up in the peaks! No one could be happier than me to to see the contrast between the deep blue sky, the gleaming white snow, and the fresh green of spring. I really love the snow, but I’ve found something that has taken my attention away from the white for a while, nirinsou.

This deep green is a nice change from the scenery of winter. And if you look closely, you’ll notice that not all of these little flowers are the same.

Actually, nirinsou is well-known for its various natural mutations. I don’t know about you, but these little flowers are definitely amongst the most interesting flowers I have ever seen. Aside from these (my new favorite flower), violets, alpine cherry trees, and all kinds of flowers are in bloom now.
