Recently (06/11), we reported that roads granting access to Kamikochi had been temporarily closed.
Again, as of 8:00am on the morning of June 15th, the Kamikochi Park Line road has been temporarily closed as a standard precautionary measure. Please be aware that entering trailheads and returning from mountain hikes is currently not possible.
We apologize for any inconvenience resulting from these closures which have been enacted purely in the interests of safety.
We will post a new update as soon as the reopening of the roads has been officially announced.
